Where can I get a root canal in Lubbock?

Lubbock root canal

Root canal therapy can help save a tooth that has suffered irreversible damage to its nerves. Underneath the outermost biting surface of your tooth is a layer of core tissues, collectively called the dental pulp. Dental pulp plays the important role of providing nutrients to your tooth when it is first developing, however, once the tooth is fully matured it no longer requires dental pulp to remain functional. When decay or fracture allow bacteria to seep into your tooth, the dental pulp may become infected. Increased blood flow to the damage pulp can cause a buildup of pressure and lead to a toothache. A toothache may be accompanied by symptoms such as swelling around the infected tooth and fever. If you are experiencing a toothache, it’s important to see your endodontist right away. During Lubbock root canal treatment your endodontist removes the damaged dental pulp, cleans and shapes the pulp chamber, then fills the tooth with inert materials to prevent subsequent infection. Root canal therapy is ninety-five percent effective, and a tooth that has been treated with a root canal can remain healthy and functional throughout your life. Your endodontist may recommend a dental crown to restore a tooth that has been treated with a root canal.

79424 Endodontics

Where can I get 79424 endodontics treatment?

At Lubbock Endodontics, your 79424 endodontics experts, we use state-of-the art technology and treatment methods to preserve your natural tooth structure and keep your mouth healthy. Although root canal treatment is around ninety-five percent effective, there are cases in which a tooth does not sufficiently heal or becomes re-infected. In this case, your endodontist will work to save your tooth by performing an apicoectomy.

79424 Endodontics

An apicoectomy is typically a straightforward procedure, performed by your 79424 endodontics specialist, to eliminate dental infection. This procedure is useful in cases where fractures or hidden canals continue to cause pain and infection around a tooth that has been previously treated with a root canal. It is also recommended when endodontic retreatment is likely to cause further damage to the tooth. During the procedure, your endodontist will keep you comfortable and relaxed. Our practice offers nitrous oxide, oral conscious and IV sedation to put even the most anxious patients deeply at ease. We also provide comforting amenities, such as video eyewear, allowing you to enjoy a movie or TV show during your visit. Your endodontist will remove the damaged pulp from your tooth, as well as a few millimeters of the tooth’s root tip. Your endodontist will then seal the tooth with inert materials to prevent subsequent infection. Our practice uses high powered microscopes to detect any challenges to the course of treatment, such as hidden roots and fractures. Using a high powered microscope allows for more precise treatment, which can improve healing time. Your endodontist will advise you on follow-up care. Most patients resume normal activities very quickly, and discomfort is generally mild.

As your 79424 endodontics specialist, we are committed to providing the most effective endodontic treatment for you and your family. At Lubbock Endodontics, we treat our patients with the individualized care and compassion that they deserve. To learn more about our services, call today.

Lubbock Toothache

Are you suffering from a Lubbock toothache?

A toothache is a painful condition that often indicates an underlying problem. A toothache is typically caused by deep decay, infection or injury, which may require endodontic treatment. If you are experiencing a Lubbock toothache, it is critical to get to your local dentist or endodontist right away. At Lubbock Endodontics, we use state of-the-art equipment and technology to detect any adverse condition that may be developing and aide in diagnosis so the best course of treatment can be determined to address the cause of the toothache and alleviate your pain.

Lubbock Toothache

Here in Lubbock toothache pain requires diagnosis and treatment as quickly as possible; do not hesitate to call your dental professional endodontist at Lubbock Endodontics. Toothache symptoms may include inflammation of the soft tissues around the tooth, a bad taste in your mouth, increased sensitivity to hot and cold foods and beverages and fever. These symptoms often indicate an infection or abscess, which may require endodontic treatment. When a tooth is badly decayed or fractured, bacteria can seep and cause infection. Root canal therapy can help treat a dental infection. Your endodontist will use diagnostic films and a clinical examination to determine the cause of your toothache. Endodontic treatment is recommended when there is damage to the dental pulp, below the outermost biting surface of your tooth. The dental pulp contains the core tissues, blood vessels and nerves. When dental pulp is damaged, increased blood flow to the area causes a painful pressure. A fully matured, adult tooth does not require dental pulp to remain functional. During root canal treatment, your dentist will remove the damaged pulp, thoroughly clean and reshape the chamber, then seal the site to prevent re-infection, providing you with much needed relief from your toothache.

At Lubbock Endodontics, your provider of Lubbock toothache relief, we are leading experts of endodontic treatment in your area. We are here to provide you with the highest quality dental care, when you need it the most. To learn more about our services, call today.
